ACCOUNTANT, Bucharest
Overall description of the job
The Accountant will support the accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial information is reported.
Assist the Chief accountant in creating timely and accurate financial statements.
• Confirm daily cash activities and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Process invoicing, accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), and balance to general ledger
• Reconcile the monthly bank statements
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports
• Assist with budget preparation process.
• Control and review all documents received for legal registration
• Promptly report to supervisor any customer complaints or concerns.
• Work effectively with management and fellow employees.
• Available to work extended hours when needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications, experience and education
• 5 year Working Experience in multinational companies
• Accounting degree (additional years of accounting experience can offset required education)
• 2 years experiences working with financial statement preparation and GL systems
• Excellent knowledge on local legislation and law related to accounting records
• Understand GAAP – Generally Accepted Accounting Practices
• Excellent MS Office: Word and Excel knowledge
• Fluent English spoken and written any other languages a strong plus
