Lead Designer - Brasov located
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing and controlling the design of interior assembly (e.g door panels, central console, instrument panels, etc) in cooperation with Lead Design Engineer, from the concept to series production (responsible for the design of "interior assembly");
Design engineering responsibility with technical executive functions and execution of the technical correspondence;
Functional management and control of the design team within series development;
Close collaboration with other departments (functional validation, process development, prototyping, quality)
Breaking the requirements for assembly down to components ( sight area, manufacturing processing requirements).
Carrying out and initiating analysis for 3D models (radius checks, wall thickness, mounting-demounting analyze, collision test, tolerance calculation) and documenting the results;
Responsible for the quotation data to the supplier (3D quotation models, quotation drawings and/or component data sheets, requirement specification);
Specifying test dimensions, SC/CC characteristics and coordinating them with all the departments.
Requirements
Completed mechanical engineering technical studies
Alternatively technical studies
More than 3 years relevant working experience as designer of automotive interior parts
Proven hands-on experience with CATIA V5 or NX, ideally also with PLM Team center
Leadership abilities
Able to efficiently communicate with internal development team and suppliers if the case
Flexible and adaptable to various cultures and working styles
Required good English language skills
Knowledge of German language is desirable
