Lugera - The people Republic is looking for its client, a multinational Belgian company, the most preferred engineering and solution provider for the float glass manufacturers for a Senior Design Engineer for mechanical projects.
Job description :
- You report directly to the head of design
- You work in an international environment and you form a tight team with the project engineer (Belgium, Romania or China) within the project that is assigned to you.
- For the project that has been assigned to you, you take the lead in the design and development of the mechanical concept and coordinate the detailed mechanical design of both the product and/or its components.
- You lead the design engineers that work on the project and you are the focal point of contact for mechanical design for the project that has been assigned to you.
- You participate in the design and development of the mechanical concept and perform detailed mechanical design of both the product and/or its components.
- Participate in the follow-up of the production of the parts for the project you are assigned to :
Continuous improvement and customer focus.
Competencies:
- You are comfortable with all mechanical aspects, but you are also interested in the broader scope of the project. You want to see the ‘whole picture’
- Mechanical or electro-mechanical engineer (master level) with broad technical interests
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Romanian is required. Knowledge of French is considered as a benefit.
- You have at least 5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience
- You have at least 5 years experience with industrial installations and machinery
- You have ideally experience in SolidWorks
- You have at least experience of AutoCad or another 3D package, SolidWorks.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel required).
- Intermediate to expert project management skills with interests in follow-up of external contacts in a project oriented environment.
