Midwives for Bahrain
On behalf of a hospital in the Bahrain we are seeking for a clinical midwife.
The function:
As clinical midwife work in the delivery room and the maternity ward where you deal with pregnancies, births and clinical childbirth accompanied with increased risk. You will do this together with your fellow midwives, the nursing staff and the medical specialists. Together they will offer care to patients before, during and after the delivery. It is important that you can independently work independently in the maternity unit. The candidate that we are looking for is responsible for assessing patients for their treatment plans and the (independent) counseling of pregnant woman.
We ask:
• Diploma obstetric preferably supplemented by training in a clinical midwifery and basic ultrasound experience
Category Qualification Minimum Experience
Midwives Bachelor of science in midwifery not less than 4 years.

And
Post graduate Midwifery Certificate with minimum one (1) academic year educational program duration

Post graduate Midwifery with a minimum of 9 months educational program, immediately after completion of a general nursing program

BSc in Nursing and Midwifery not less than 4 years where the midwifery program should not be less than 9 months. For Non Bahraini 2 years clinical practice in Labor & Delivery room, ante-natal, intra-natal, and post-natal care
In the position of clinical midwife you will be able to work both independently and in a team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague with an active attitude and good social and communication skills. Collegiality, flexibility and a service-oriented attitude are important to us.
English language – medium level (B1-B2)
The department:
The department of obstetrics is a dynamic department with a highly variable patient selection, the obstetrics department falls under the unity, woman-child the deliveries are supervised by gynecologists, midwives and clinical nurse specialist.
Working conditions: 8 hours per shift (morning, evening and night duties).
