• Participates in the development of the project definition and the scope of work, timeline and budget, forms the project team and defines all goals and any materials, tasks and resources that will be needed to complete the project delivery.
• Coordinates activities of Civil Forman, Civil Technicians, and workers.
• Manages and tracks all civil materials and resources involved in the project execution to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Supports the civil project team all the way to completion and even after to provide technical advice to resolve problems.
• Supervises the civil work related to the project to make sure it runs according to set budgets and time frame.
Reviews bid documentation packages to determine the required scope of work.
Prepares initial mechanical designs/drawings if required.
Calculates the mechanical materials and quantities needed based on the initial designs/drawings, and scope of work.
Finalize the mechanical part of the technical and financial proposals and the estimation of project’s budget, resources needed and time frame relevant to the mechanical contracting.
Follows up with clients regarding proposals submitted, inquiries and amendments.
Re-evaluates and re-calculates the assumptions and inputs used in preparing the proposal and rechecks the initial mechanical designs/drawings and redefines the assumptions and inputs if required in order to make sure the project is profitable and within the availability of resources.
Prepares the final and detailed necessary mechanical drawings/designs for the won project – if required.
Participates in the negotiation of the contractual technical & financial matters with clients relevant to mechanical contracting.
Coordinates with the procurement department in the selection of subcontractors necessary to conduct the required mechanical works in the won project and assists in the evaluation of their performance against the set evaluation criteria and conducts site visits to subcontractors premises if required.
Bachelor degree in Civil/ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in the sphere preferably in contracting companies in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
